IT Guidelines

In order for IT to be able to provide good service and maintain high availability, we all need to follow certain rules.

The following applies:

• Never change any settings on your computer. All Bruks Siwertell computers are installed the same and many settings will be restored the next time the computer is restarted.

• Contact the IT department for help if there is a configuration in your computer that does not work or if you are unsure of what you can change yourself.

• Never install your own programs. If you need access to programs that are not installed, start "Software Center", you will not find it there contact the IT department.

• USB should be used with caution. Information exchange between PCs connected to the network should be done via the servers in order for virus programs to be able to detect viruses.
